Authenticity, sustainability, and local economy<\/p>\n

We see tourism in mountain areas as an opportunity to improve the quality of life for local communities, but only if developed carefully, in harmony with nature, the landscape, and the people<\/strong> who live there. That is why our approach to tourism stems from authenticity, moderate development, and long-term sustainability, rather than quick and mass-market solutions.<\/p>\n

Development of Rural and Agro-Tourism<\/h4>\n

We work with rural and katun households, small-scale producers, and local stakeholders to develop agro and rural tourism that relies on existing resources \u2013 the mountain landscape, traditional agriculture, local food, knowledge, and way of life. Instead of large-scale investments, we support small and medium initiatives that remain in the ownership of local people and contribute to the diversity and resilience of the local economy.<\/p>\n

An important part of our work is the planning and development of hiking, thematic, and trekking trails, which connect the region’s natural and cultural values with local communities. We do not view trails merely as tourist infrastructure, but as a tool for managing visits, protecting sensitive areas, and ensuring a more even distribution of the benefits from tourism. Through them, we connect katuns, villages, landscapes, local products, and the stories of the people living in those spaces.<\/p>\n

We pay special attention to the quality and meaning of the tourism offer. This involves working on standards, the interpretation of heritage, and the development of services that offer guests an authentic experience while respecting carrying capacities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Integration with Agriculture and Heritage<\/h4>\n

In this context, tourism should complement, not displace, agriculture and other traditional activities. Through our work, we strive to link tourism with nature conservation and cultural heritage, as well as with local production, crafts, and services. Such connectivity allows the benefits of tourism to be more evenly distributed and to remain within the communities where they are created.<\/p>\n

We believe that sustainable agro and rural tourism can play a vital role in retaining the population in mountain areas, especially the youth, providing them with the chance to stay or return and build their future on the foundations of local values, knowledge, and resources.<\/p>\n
