Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije organized seminar “Responsible Innovation in the northeastern region of Montenegro”, on September 30. \u00a0The seminar was organized as a part of the project “Facilitating responsible innovation in South East Europe Countries” that RDA BKP implemented in cooperation with seven partners from six different countries (Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina). The project was approved within transnational cooperation program in South East Europe (SEE program), funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n

The representatives of relevant institutions and organizations in the region attended the seminar. During the seminar, in addition to discussions on responsible innovation in the tourism and agriculture sectors and the need for further development of this concept in the northeastern region of Montenegro, pilot activities that RDA BKP conducted under this project were presented. The main objective of these activities is to promote the concept of responsible innovation at local and national level and through practical examples show the importance of this concept.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the promotional film “People from the cursed mountains”<\/em> was presented. It aims to show examples of responsible innovation when it comes to the development of tourism and agriculture in the region and thus promote the sustainable use of natural resources and cultural and historical heritage.<\/p>\n

RDA has also prepared a brochure “The leaders of responsible innovation in tourism and agriculture in the region of Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije”,<\/em> aiming to present the best practices when it comes to responsible innovation. These are individuals, agricultural producers, travel agencies and agro tourism households in the region that need to be recognized by the community and be an example for other actors in the region to follow.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the manual and recommendations<\/em> for the development of women’s entrepreneurship were also presented. RDA BKP prepared these materials with the aim to improve business environment for this target group and promote women’s entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
