Kola\u0161in, a mountain tourism hub located at 960 meters above sea level, faces a heating season of up to 10 months, yet its vast forest potential and biomass remain entirely untapped.<\/p>\n

Following a study tour organized by RDA BKP, a feasibility study was initiated, confirming that the Kola\u0161in town center could implement a district heating system fueled by biomass. The Agency, in partnership with the Municipality of Kola\u0161in, established crucial links with the Government of Montenegro and the German Development Bank (KfW).<\/p>\n

Secured Support:<\/strong> Funding of \u20ac300,000<\/strong> has been secured for the municipality to develop technical plans and studies. This serves as the foundation for future credit arrangements and grants necessary for the project’s full implementation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Implementation Stages<\/h4>\n

The project initially focuses on connecting hotels and public institutions to the heating plant, followed by residential buildings in the city center. This initiative aims to solve significant energy and environmental challenges for both citizens and local administration.<\/p>\n
