In the period from November 26 to 28, representatives from the city of Sibiu, Romania, stayed in Montenegro. This is part of the activities of the Commheritour project, which is funded by EU resources within the Danube Call and implemented in Montenegro by the Regional Development Agency Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije from Berane. The visit was realized in Petnjica and Berane through numerous joint activities. Special attention was paid to the pilot project being developed on the premises of the NGO “Bihorski \u0107ilim” and in the “Mahmut Adrovi\u0107” Elementary School in Petnjica, where, thanks to this project, workshops for transferring the skill of weaving the Bihorski carpet are being held. The skill of making the Bihorski carpet is part of the protected intangible cultural heritage of Montenegro, and this is the first time that the transfer of skills from older to younger generations is being carried out in an organized manner.<\/p>\n
This visit by the partners from Romania is realized as a return visit to the partners from Montenegro, who during the month of September had the opportunity to visit the city of Sibiu and directly familiarize themselves with the activities being implemented in that city regarding wool processing and craftsmanship in general. The field visit is a good opportunity to exchange practices and experiences in the implementation of project activities through direct communication, as well as the challenges faced by partners in the field.<\/p>\n
The workshop participants in Petnjica had a special interest in the experience of wool processing, which the partners from Romania were happy to share with them. In Petnjica, communication was also established with representatives of the local self-government and the Local Tourism Organization, the Center for Culture – Petnjica, and the partners also visited a large collection of Bihorski carpets. The stay in Petnjica was an opportunity to visit other landmarks and cultural contents of this region.<\/p>\n
The partners’ stay continued in Berane, where numerous activities were organized at the premises of RRA BKP. In addition to the Commheritour project activities, the partners from Romania had the opportunity to get acquainted with other activities and projects of our organization and to convey their impressions and plans through direct communication, with announcements of joint action in creating new project ideas and continuing such cooperation in the future.<\/p>\n
The conclusion of the representatives of both partners is that our environments from both countries have many common cultural, natural, and other potentials that can serve as a bridge for future cooperation and joint action in the creation and development of projects and more intensive cooperation, especially in the rural and mountainous parts of Montenegro and Romania, which is the purpose of such visits.<\/p>\n
