Project Overview<\/h3>\n

The Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije<\/strong> is implementing this project in collaboration with the Municipality of Peja and RRA WEST. The focus is on boosting rural tourism through the valorization of cultural and natural heritage, directly increasing income for rural populations in both Montenegro and Kosovo.<\/p>\n

  • Enhancing the volume, quality, and visibility of tourism at the village level.<\/li>\n
  • Improving visitor experiences through new products and better infrastructure.<\/li>\n
  • Boosting the economic resilience of rural communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Project Results<\/h3>\n

    1. Increased Capacity for Rural Tourism<\/strong>
    \nBy transferring RDA BKP\u2019s extensive experience, local stakeholders will adopt EuroGites quality standards<\/strong>. Activities include a comprehensive set of training sessions and the adaptation of professional guides for households on both sides of the border.<\/p>\n

    2. Developed Tourism Offer in Villages<\/strong>
    \nFifteen villages will be supported in mapping resources and developing thematic trails. Key interventions include:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Installation of professional directional signage to assist guests.<\/li>\n
    • Creation of playgrounds and rental services (e.g., bicycles) to fill the “activity gap.”<\/li>\n
    • Courtyard landscaping and tasting area improvements, strictly following local traditions to preserve authentic ambiance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      3. Promoted Rural Tourism Offer<\/strong>
      \nEnsuring market reach through info boards, brochures, and video materials. All information will be accessible via the Peja Tourism Organization and the Rural Tourism Association of Montenegro websites. The project also supports traditional events (katun festivals, harvest celebrations, outdoor sports) to become self-sustaining attractions.<\/p>\n
