Special focus was placed on mountain katuns in the Bjelasica, Komovi, and Prokletije regions as the pillars of authentic development.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 60px; height: 2px; background: #0c8044; margin: 45px 0;\"><\/div>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 1.2rem; font-weight: 600; color: #1a1a1a; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.005em;\">Katuns \u2013 The Heart of Montenegrin Identity<\/h4>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 24px;\">Katuns are not just a tourist attraction; they are the core of our tradition and culture. However, RDA BKP research indicates an alarming trend: out of <strong style=\"font-weight: 600;\">1,200 formerly active katuns<\/strong>, only about <strong style=\"font-weight: 600;\">400<\/strong> remain today. Tourism offers a chance for reversal through careful and thoughtful progress that preserves original values.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 40px 0; padding: 25px 30px; border-left: 4px solid #ccc; background-color: #f9f9f9; color: #1a1a1a;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 1.1rem; line-height: 1.7; font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Against &#8220;Disneyfication&#8221;:<\/strong> Rural tourism must not become an artificial installation or a theme park. It must remain real and authentic. Our advantage is that we don&#8217;t need to invent attractions\u2014we simply need to stop destroying what we already have.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 24px;\">Mountain agriculture plays a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity, preventing erosion and the natural reforestation of pastures. Therefore, tourism development should start from more accessible villages, gradually integrating katuns into a year-round model that includes activities such as <strong style=\"font-weight: 600;\">backcountry skiing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 40px 0; padding: 25px 30px; border-left: 4px solid #ccc; background-color: #f9f9f9; color: #1a1a1a;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0; font-size: 1.1rem; line-height: 1.7; font-weight: 400;\">The goal is to create a sustainable development model that provides modern comfort for the people living and working in katuns while offering visitors an unforgettable <strong>&#8220;journey back in time&#8221;<\/strong> experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4 style=\"font-size: 1.2rem; font-weight: 600; color: #1a1a1a; margin-top: 40px; margin-bottom: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.005em;\">A Bridge Between Heritage and a Sustainable Future<\/h4>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 24px;\">Our vision is a Montenegro that leads in Europe precisely because it has preserved its original values.
