The Municipality of Berane, in partnership with the RDA BKP, is implementing the project “Local Partnership Initiative for Employment \u2013 ILEP”<\/strong>. This initiative is supported by the European Union through the IPA program, focusing on reducing unemployment and boosting the local economy [00:13<\/a>].<\/p>\n

New Tourist Guides for Berane Region<\/h4>\n

[00:21<\/a>] While Berane offers an authentic rural tourism experience, a lack of licensed guides has been a barrier for travel agencies. To overcome this, the ILEP project organized training for 10 unemployed individuals<\/strong> to become licensed tourist guides [00:41<\/a>].<\/p>\n

Vocational Training in the Wood Processing Sector<\/h4>\n

In addition to tourism, the “Arhimed” Educational Center is conducting a vocational program for furniture carpenters<\/strong>, involving 15 participants [01:12<\/a>]. A key element is the practical part of the training, which is held directly in the workshops of local manufacturers [01:32<\/a>].<\/p>\n

Student Feedback<\/h4>\n

Participants such as Kenan \u0160unti\u0107 and Sofija highlighted the high quality of the teaching and the expertise of the professors. Following the theoretical phase, a study tour through Northern Montenegro<\/strong> was organized, allowing future guides to successfully test their skills in real-world scenarios [01:41<\/a>].<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Community Sustainability<\/h4>\n

The project is being implemented from October 2023 to October 2024 [02:57<\/a>]. Through ILEP, the local community gains skilled professionals, strengthening Berane\u2019s position in both the rural tourism and wood processing industries.<\/p>\n
