Project: Cross-Re-Tour (2023–2026)

Digital and Green Transformation for Tourism SMEs

In short: Cross-Re-Tour is a project that supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in tourism to become more sustainable and digital. The core of the project is funding 10 SMEs per country with up to €30,000 each for a 14-month period. Through an online dialogue, you define the priorities of the funding program yourself, and you can apply for funds in a later stage (Autumn 2024).

This online dialogue is the first step, aimed at connecting interested tourism SMEs in each of the eight partner countries. Running from January to March 2024, it will identify the most urgent challenges, build a network, and define the next steps. Whether you are already advanced in sustainability or just starting—share your experience and influence this exciting opportunity!

What is Cross-Re-Tour?

Co-funded by the EU, the project provides tourism SMEs with access to digital and green tools used by other sectors or large corporations. It offers an opportunity to test, implement, and scale these solutions.

• Support: 80 SMEs across Europe will be supported in implementing innovative solutions.

• Funding: Up to 100% through COSME – the European programme for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Goals of the Online Dialogue

• Share challenges related to sustainability and digitalization with similar businesses.

• Take the first step toward finding practical solutions.

• Build a network within and outside the tourism sector.

• Define the priorities for the SME funding program.

Note: The dialogue consists of several rounds (each open for approx. two weeks). Follow your country’s page on the platform to receive email notifications for new rounds.

How to Join the Online Dialogue?

1. Visit adhocracy.plus/crossretour/

2. Click “Register” (top right corner).

3. Check the box “I want to receive additional information” to get updates on replies and new rounds.

4. After logging in, click on the Montenegrin flag to access the local dialogue page.

5. Click “+follow” on the header image.

6. Introduce yourself, share your challenges, and start networking!
