Project Overview
The Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije, in partnership with the Municipality of Berane, is implementing the ILEP project. This initiative focuses on improving employability and integrating long-term unemployed individuals into the labor market, specifically targeting the wood processing and tourism sectors.
Main Objectives:
- Creating conditions for new job openings in the wood processing industry.
- Enhancing the competencies and employability of hard-to-employ groups.
- Strengthening the local employment partnership within the Berane municipality.
Project Results
1. New Job Creation in Wood Processing
By implementing new technical solutions and modernizing production processes, the project directly contributes to creating new positions and integrating unemployed individuals into the wood processing sector’s workforce.
2. Certified Training and Capacity Building
Providing specialized and certified training for the unemployed in key areas:
- Wood Processing: Technical skills and operating modern machinery.
- Tourism Services: Improving service quality and specialized tourism knowledge.
These certifications directly enhance the participants’ competitiveness in the regional labor market.
Partnership
This project is a collaborative effort between RDA Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije and the Municipality of Berane, with financial support from the European Union.
