Project Description: USAID’s $8 million Economic Development Project (EDP) aimed to enhance the economic potential of Northern Montenegro. The EDP required a key local implementation partner, and RDA for Bjelasica, Komovi, and Prokletije was selected through a public call to serve as the partner for the northeastern part of Montenegro. RDA BKP’s role was to identify potential applicants from the business and public sectors and assist them in developing project ideas, which were then presented to the Economic Development Project for funding.

Within this project, RDA BKP provided support in the design and implementation of projects for various state institutions, local businesses, farmers and entrepreneurs, NGOs, clubs, and associations. The projects covered fields such as the business environment, agriculture, tourism, capacity building, etc. RDA BKP was responsible for project implementation across seven municipalities in northeastern Montenegro.
