Project Description: The main goal of this project was to raise community awareness—including youth, farmers, and women—about the value and importance of nature conservation, protection, and the economically sustainable use of natural resources, as well as to initiate dialogue/consultations with the community regarding Prokletije Park.

Main Results:

1. The local community in the Prokletije area gained a better understanding of nature protection and the modern concept of protected areas.
2. Local action groups strengthened their capacities related to biodiversity and nature conservation. The continuation of the community consultation process on Prokletije Park was enabled.
3. A set of awareness-raising materials prepared through this project was shared with the boards of local action groups.
4. In cooperation with members of local action groups, promotional brochures were prepared in three languages for the cross-border area.
