In late 2010, in coordination with the Hiking and Biking Group of the Ministry of Tourism, RDA established agreements to assist in forming Mountain Rescue Services in Kolašin and Žabljak.
Working alongside the Nikšić Mountain Rescue Service and the municipalities of Kolašin and Žabljak, the agency facilitated the selection of trainees and the identification of locations for information points, covering the critical areas of Bjelasica, Sinjajevina, and Durmitor.
Equipment and Sustainability: Negotiations were held with the USAID Economic Development Project to secure rescue equipment. The strategy involves USAID funding the gear, allowing RDA to reallocate saved funds toward the further upgrade and continuous improvement of the mountain rescue services.
