In agreement with the Hiking and Biking Group within the Ministry of Tourism, at the end of 2010 RDA made agreements to assist the establishment of a Mountain Rescue Service in Kolasin (for Bjelasica) and in Zabljak (for Sinjajevina and Durmitor areas). RDA worked with Mountain rescue Service in Niksic to design the plan, and negotiate with Kolasin and Zabljak about people who should be trained, equipment that should be bought and locations for information points. With USAID Economic Growth Project RDA BKP negotiated about equipment, and proposal was made that USAID funds this component, while RDA will use the resources that would be saved in this manner for further upgrade of mountain rescue service.
