The Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije participated in the third partner meeting within the Danube Wood(s) Route project, held on April 10 and 11, 2025, in Sarajevo, organized by the Sarajevo Economic Regional Development Agency (SERDA).
During the first day, representatives of the Danube Programme, including the relevant institutions (JS) for monitoring and implementation, attended the meeting for a joint review of the project’s progress to date. Partners presented their activities, shared information on achievements, and discussed plans for the upcoming period. As part of the work planning, key directions for the joint strategy were defined, including the mission and vision, which will serve as the basis for the preparation of action plans in all regions.
During the meeting, other projects implemented within the Danube Programme were also presented, such as SReST and Danube GeoTourPlus, whose themes and activities are linked to the goals of the Danube Wood(s) Route project, particularly in the fields of tourism and the protection of natural and cultural heritage.
The program also included a visit to the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of BiH, where the partners had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the rich cultural heritage of Sarajevo.
On the second day of the program, a visit to the Trebević protected area was organized, where partners had the opportunity to learn about the practices of management and preservation of the natural values of that area.
The meeting in Sarajevo was beneficial for improving cooperation among partners, exchanging experiences, and specifying the next activities to be implemented in the coming months.
