As part of the series of events titled “I Still Exist,” marking the 150th anniversary of Berane, the Regional Development Agency organized the first art colony “Berane 2012.”
The colony took place from August 24th to 30th at the Suvodo Mountain Hut, at the foot of Bjelasica Mountain. The participants were academic painters born in Berane, with Mrs. Merima Mima Ratković serving as the colony’s selector.
Legacy and Future: The event concluded with an exhibition at the Duke Gavro Vuković Memorial House, where all works were donated to the Municipality of Berane and the Cultural Center. Moving forward, the Cultural Center will take over the organization, turning the colony into a traditional annual event.
