The Power of Female Mentorship: From Tradition to Sustainable Rural Business

In recent weeks, we gathered dedicated women from Berane, Bijelo Polje, and Plav who wish to start or improve their activities in rural tourism. These meetings were an opportunity to connect with successful leaders who have already achieved significant results:

Mentors

  • Maja Kljajić (Berane)
  • Milijanka Pešić (Bijelo Polje)
  • Ermina Redžematović (Plav)

Each of them mentors at least 10 women from her municipality, providing essential support, knowledge, and practical advice to transform households into successful tourism stories.

These women prove that tradition, agriculture, and hospitality can merge into a sustainable business – the support network gives beginners confidence for their first steps.

Why is this important?

The program is implemented with the support of the UNDP Gender Programme Montenegro through the Montenegro SDG Acceleration Fund, as we believe women are the key to rural community development.

Invitation

We invite all interested rural women from these municipalities to contact us and become part of this story!
