Continuation of the Promotional Tour: Katun Road “Untold Bjelasica”

After visiting the katuns on Mount Vranica in Bosnia and Herzegovina and meeting with representatives of the media and travel agencies from Montenegro and BiH, the promotional journey continued on Bjelasica.

Katun Trail “Untold Bjelasica”

This thematic trail connects as many as 50 katuns, where during the summer herders from Berane, Mojkovac, Kolašin, and Bijelo Polje migrate with their livestock, making this area a unique blend of nature, tradition, and authentic lifestyle.

Participant Experience

Although it was not possible to explore every corner of this vast mountain, participants tried to experience as much as possible – through walks, filming, photography, and direct immersion in katun life. A special highlight was mushroom gathering and preparation, along with tasting traditional dishes such as kačamak tučanik, nettle pie, and other mountain specialties.

Hospitality of the Hosts

The hospitality of the hosts once again confirmed the reputation of katuns as places of genuine welcome and warmth. Their dedication and openness leave a strong impression on all visitors, with the assurance that future tourists will be greeted in the same way.

The katuns of Bjelasica and Vranica confirm that tradition and hospitality are the foundation of the region’s unique tourism offer.

Acknowledgment

We extend our gratitude to all participants of the study trip, with the hope that through their work they will contribute to the promotion of katun trails – “Untold Bjelasica” and the katuns of Vranica – as a unique tourism offer of the region.
