Project Overview
This project focuses on bridging the gap between the academic community and the industrial sector within the food production industry. By fostering the mobility of young researchers, the initiative provides professional support to small-scale producers to modernize their processing methods and implement new product concepts.
Main Objectives:
- Strengthening the links between science and industry in accordance with Montenegro’s Smart Specialization Strategy.
- Assisting small producers in the creation of innovative fruit and vegetable-based products.
- Enhancing the market competitiveness of local agricultural goods.
Project Results
- Innovative Product Development: Creation of new recipes and technological solutions for fruit and vegetable processing.
- Market Readiness: All newly developed products have undergone testing phases and are prepared for placement with final consumers.
- Knowledge Transfer: Established a lasting collaboration model between research centers and small enterprises.
Partnership
The project is implemented by the Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije (Lead Partner) in cooperation with the University of Donja Gorica – Food Hub.
