Why did we launch THEMATIC2GREEN?
The Adriatic-Ionian region faces increasing environmental and socio-economic challenges due to climate change, energy transition, and the need for sustainable economic growth. Despite its rich cultural and natural heritage, the region struggles with limited innovation in green development, lack of efficient renewable energy solutions, and insufficient environmental certification for businesses. THEMATIC2GREEN promotes innovation capacity for sustainable development, supporting businesses and public institutions in adapting to environmental challenges.
What are the main expected outcomes of this project?
The project will focus on three key areas:
- Enhancing entrepreneurial capacity for sustainable development.
- Strengthening public and private institutions’ ability to address climate change.
- Supporting the development of renewable energy solutions in rural and coastal areas.
Through pilot actions, joint strategies, and a permanent cooperation network, the project will create practical solutions to drive the green transition in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
Who are we?
Nine partners from seven countries are working together over 30 months to implement THEMATIC2GREEN, creating long-term solutions for sustainable economic development.
