On the occasion of December 11th, International Mountain Day, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UNFAO) has prepared a special publication featuring 25 case studies from around the world.
The aim of this publication is to highlight how global changes affect life in mountain regions. One of the selected case studies comes directly from Montenegro, and the contribution to this significant global initiative was prepared by the Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komove, and Prokletije.
Through this example, the international community has the opportunity to learn about the specific characteristics of our region and the challenges faced by mountain communities. This represents an important recognition of the efforts invested in promoting and protecting our mountain hinterlands.
