The TT2 route is 390 kilometers long and takes cyclists across Northern Montenegro – from Nikšić over Golija, through the Piva and Komarnica canyons, to Žabljak and Bjelasica. It is a journey through canyons, mountain passes, and traditional villages, where nature and culture blend into a unique experience.
Nikšić – Golija – Piva Canyon
Starting in Nikšić, the route climbs over Mount Golija. The road is demanding but rewards with views of remote valleys, mountain huts, and ancient cisterns resembling fortresses. The descent into the Piva canyon offers some of Montenegro’s most spectacular viewpoints.
The ethno-village “Izlazak” provides breathtaking views of the Piva river and canyon – a place where nature’s beauty is felt with all senses.
Komarnica – Nevidio – Durmitor
The route continues through the Komarnica canyon and the famous Nevidio canyon – the last conquered in Europe. The climb to the Sedlo pass on Durmitor offers stunning views of peaks and valleys. Žabljak, the highest town in the Balkans, welcomes travelers in the heart of Durmitor.
Nevidio canyon is an adventure through waterfalls and narrow passages – an experience remembered for a lifetime.
Bjelasica – Bijelo Polje – Kolašin
The final part of the route crosses Bjelasica, reaching the Velika Čkala pass at 1923 masl
