Project Description: The goal of this project was to strengthen cross-border cooperation and establish an integrated approach to the development of summer mountain tourism based on natural resources in the region.
Main Results:
- New regional tourism products created and existing ones further developed – 3 local cycling routes developed, 4 hiking trails established, support provided to 6 rural households for rural tourism services, speleological cadastre created for four municipalities, 3 climbing sites selected and equipped.
- Off-season tourism infrastructure developed and improved – mountain bikes and kayaks provided to the Mojkovac Tourism Organization, two playgrounds built in villages selected for agro-tourism development.
- Capacities of local tourism service providers strengthened – 15 representatives of rural households trained in rural tourism services and product creation.
- New regional tourism products promoted – new website created for promotion of tourism products and services in the region, promotional flyers prepared for cycling and hiking trails, climbing, speleology, and agro-tourism.
- Capacities of both RRAs strengthened and a cross-border network of tourism actors established.
