Project Overview
The primary goal of the “Cross-Border Youth Entrepreneurship” project was to foster entrepreneurial development within the border regions of Serbia and Montenegro by strengthening connections between young people. The initiative focused on creating a supportive environment for high school students and active young entrepreneurs, laying the groundwork for sustainable economic growth.
Main Objectives:
- Enhancing entrepreneurial skills and practical knowledge among high school students.
- Establishing a functional network of potential and active young entrepreneurs in the region.
- Raising public and institutional awareness regarding the role of entrepreneurship in socio-economic development.
Key Results and Activities
1. Student Company Programme
The project involved five secondary schools from Kolašin, Mojkovac, Berane, Plav, and Rožaje. A total of 209 students participated in intensive capacity-building activities and successfully founded their own student companies. To ensure sustainability, teaching staff were also trained to provide ongoing mentorship and support.
2. Promotion and Excellence
A Youth Entrepreneurship Fair was held in Berane, providing a platform for students to showcase their business ideas. Following the fair, an educational camp was organized in Kolašin for the top-performing student companies, fostering further innovation and networking among peers.
3. Institutional Support and Infrastructure
All participating schools were equipped with essential hardware, including computers, printers, and projectors, alongside specialized libraries focused on entrepreneurship. Additionally, formal recommendations were delivered to policy-makers advocating for the inclusion of entrepreneurship as a standard subject in the national curriculum.
