Free climbing – new activity in the region

Through the EU-funded “365” project, free climbing rocks have been equipped in three regional municipalities, enhancing the offer for adrenaline sport enthusiasts.

The climbing locations were carefully selected: in Kolašin, the rock is located on the road to Jezerine; in Mojkovac, at Dobrilovina (within the Durmitor National Park zone); and in Berane, at Banjevac, on the road toward Lubnice. The equipping was carried out by the Gekon club from Belgrade, with a team of seasoned climbers ensuring the highest safety standards.

Training and Popularization: A key activity included training sessions for interested citizens from the three municipalities. Following the three-day training, which covered both theoretical and practical components, all participants were tested and received diplomas, laying the groundwork for the safe popularization of this sport in the region.
