Through EU funded project “365” in three municipalities in the region sites have been selected and equipped for free climbing. In Kolašin the selected site is on the road to Jezerine ski center, in Mojkovac in Dobrilovina, in the zone of National Park Durmitor, and in Berane on the road towards Lubnice, near Banjevac. The sites have been equipped by selected contractor, club Gekon from Belgrade, by their team of experienced climbers who are engaged in this sport for many years. One of the agreed activities with Gekon was also training for interested citizens in these three municipalities in free climbing, to ensure the best quality and highest safety standards for this new activity in the region.
Upon completion of the training which lasted three days and involved both practical and theoretical lessons, testing was conducted for all participants, and diplomas were handed to those who passed the test.
