Project Overview

The project focuses on empowering the most vital groups within rural communities—women and youth. The general objective is to support the development of rural tourism in Montenegro, while the specific focus is on creating opportunities for rural households to generate additional income through the provision of tourism services.

Main Objectives:

  • Economic emancipation of women in rural areas through tourism entrepreneurship.
  • Educating youth on utilizing modern tools to promote family-owned households.
  • Diversification of income streams within rural communities.

Key Results

1. Visibility of Women’s Entrepreneurship
The project identified and showcased at least 10 successful examples of women leading businesses in rural tourism. Their stories were documented through high-quality printed and video materials, serving as a model and inspiration for other women in the community.

2. Digital Literacy and Mentorship for Youth
Special emphasis was placed on training young people from rural households. At least 50 individuals participated in a mentorship program focused on digital marketing, learning how to effectively use social media and online platforms to promote and sell their tourism services.

Long-term Impact

By combining traditional hospitality with modern marketing skills, the project directly contributes to encouraging youth to remain in rural areas and strengthening the economic position of women, making rural tourism a sustainable development branch.
