“Mountain Bounty” in the Alfred Nobel Museum: Permanent Recognition for Montenegrin Gastronomic Heritage

We are proud to announce that the “Mountain Bounty” publication, after being crowned the best in the world in Paris, has received another major international honor. This unique cookbook of traditional mountain dishes has been included in the permanent collection of the Alfred Nobel Museum library in Sweden, making our flavors and heritage part of the global cultural legacy.

Recognition at the Heart of Global Science and Culture

Inclusion in this prestigious institution, which houses the most significant works in science, literature, and culture, confirms the authenticity of the project led by the Regional Development Agency (RDA). As RDA Director Jelena Krivčević points out, this is a tribute to all the hard-working people of Northern Montenegro whose recipes and life stories inspired this work.

This success further strengthens Montenegro’s position on the map of elite gastro-tourism, proving that authenticity and local identity are our strongest assets in international promotion.

Global interest in our mountain flavors continues to grow, opening new pathways for the development of rural households. The Regional Development Agency remains committed to transforming traditional knowledge into a modern tourism product that brings direct benefits to local communities in the North.

Our mission is to ensure through such recognition that the most precious heritage of Bjelasica, Komovi, and Prokletije is preserved and globally recognized for future generations.

A Bridge Between Local Tradition and Global Heritage

“Mountain Bounty” has succeeded in turning simple recipes into a world-renowned brand, positioning Northern Montenegro as a high-quality destination that deserves its place among the world’s most significant institutions.
