Project Overview

The purpose of this project is to strengthen family businesses in the target area to ensure economic security and establish successful models for other farmers in the region. The project benefits the wider community by improving services and fostering the exchange of valuable experience in food production.

Main Objectives:

  • Enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of small businesses through modernized processing.
  • Increasing the market value of raw materials by transforming them into final food products.
  • Aligning domestic production with strict EU food safety standards.

Key Interventions

1. Building Processing Capacities
Essential equipment was provided to agricultural households that previously lacked processing capabilities. This enabled the creation of high-quality products with increased market value, directly impacting household income.

2. Market Access and Branding
Through advisory services on packaging and compliance, products were made market-ready. The project team focused on connecting local producers with hotels and restaurants, ensuring domestic food becomes a key part of the tourist experience.

3. Standardization and Certification
Support was provided for obtaining permits from the Directorate for Food Safety, including laboratory testing. This allows local producers to legally offer their products on the market in accordance with the regulations adopted during the EU accession process.
