
The Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije participated in the third partner meeting within the Danube Wood(s) Route project, held on April 10. and 11. 2025, in Sarajevo. The meeting was organized by the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA.
On the first day, representatives of the Danube transnational programme, including the relevant institutions (JS) responsible for monitoring and implementation, attended the meeting to jointly review the progress made so far on the project. Project partners presented their activities, shared information about achievements, and discussed plans for the upcoming period. As part of the work planning session, the key directions of the joint strategy were defined, including the mission and vision, which will serve as a basis for the preparation of action plans in all regions.
During the meeting, other projects implemented within the Danube transnational programme were also presented, such as SReST and Danube GeoTourPlus, whose topics and activities are aligned with the goals of the Danube Wood(s) Route project, particularly in the areas of tourism and the protection of natural and cultural heritage.
The program also included a visit to the Museum of Literature and performing arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where partners had the opportunity to learn more about the rich cultural heritage of Sarajevo.
On the second day of the program, a visit was organized to the protected area of Trebević, where the partners were introduced to management practices and efforts to preserve the natural values of the area.
The meeting in Sarajevo was valuable for strengthening cooperation among the partners, exchanging experiences, and defining the upcoming activities that will be implemented in the coming months.
