The Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi, and Prokletije, in partnership with the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency (SERDA) and LTO Mojkovac, is implementing a project to transform mountain centers into year-round attractions.
The project focuses on developing summer offerings in the municipalities of Berane, Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac, and Kolašin, as well as the Sarajevo region, to reduce seasonal dependency. With a total value of €437,000, this initiative aims to economically empower local communities through sustainable tourism.
Key Project Activities:
- Active Tourism Infrastructure: Marking and equipping new hiking and cycling trails.
- Adventure Content: Identifying rock climbing locations and creating a speleological cadastre for cave valorization.
- Rural Household Improvement: Support for rural accommodation providers to enhance service quality and authenticity.
- Education and Networking: Professional assistance to the tourism industry and cross-border exchange of best practices.
